Get involved in the Oxfam Community Winter Challenge. We're walking 20,000km from St Albans to Cox's Bazar (Bangladesh), visiting Oxfam projects along the way. We'll see the challenges communities face from conflict, to Covid-19 to the impact of the climate emergency and how Oxfam is responding to support communities to thrive, not just survive.

Around the world, families hit hardest by the pandemic are facing crisis levels of hunger. By the end of 2020, 121 million more people could be pushed to the brink of starvation as a result of the social and economic fallout from the pandemic. We have all tried to find a way through this pandemic, but for some its a further crisis on top of conflict, disaster and poverty.

With your support, Oxfam can continue its life-saving work, it can continue to put together packages of food, give farming support, set up foodbanks, support education for women and girls, and provide cash to buy essentials.

For each £15 we raise, we could help more women to understand their rights, challenge discrimination and to take up leadership roles within their local communities.

For each £35, we could help families access emergency food supplies.

£45 could provide one of our new handwashing stations to enable frequent handwashing and disease prevention.

£50 could provide chicken and poultry kits for families to kickstart and run a business from home during times of travel restrictions and closures.

£60 could provide high quality seeds to farming families and help communities share harvesting tips and other agricultural support.

With your support, communities can come together to help each other. Because community spirit is what has supported us all through 2020.
