Story
Oxfordshire Youth’s mission is to transform young lives, unite communities, and tackle inequality of opportunity through the power of youth work.
This October, we’re aiming to make this the biggest #RunforYouth team that’s ever taken on the Oxford Half! We want to inspire 100 people to run towards a better and brighter future for all young people, in our fight to end inequality of opportunity.
Our services are in the highest demand since the charity’s beginning in 1947. Reading news stories about the escalating problems of inequality in Oxfordshire, and the fast growing mental health crisis for young people can often make us feel powerless or overwhelmed, but there is always something you can do to make a difference.
Every penny raised helps us to do whatever it takes - from upskilling frontline youth workers and mobilising young people to lead change in their communities, to providing safe supported housing, life-changing mental health interventions and crime prevention - to ensure that whatever a young person’s starting point in life may be, nothing holds them back.
Help us smash our £15,000 target, spread awareness about the power of youth work on the streets of Oxford, and be part of a community that takes pride in spreading kindness, unity, and fun throughout all we do.
