In a blip of consciousness I've decided to run the Oxford Half Marathon for Oxfordshire Youth.
You may think 'i didnt know you were a runner..' And you would be correct! However getting a coveted London Marathon ballot place for April 2025, I have dusted of my running trainers and starting my training in August 2024, with the first couple of weeks working up to a 5km!
When the opportunity to run for Oxfordshire Youth came through, i decided it was just rhe challenge i need, and what a worthy charity to run for!
Oxfordshire Youth are boundary-breaking youth development charity working directly with young people aged 8-25, and the grassroots leaders, volunteers, and youth organisations that support them.
Doing whatever it takes - from mental health interventions, to crime prevention, and safe, supported housing - reaching over 22,000 young people every year.
The backbone of the county’s youth work sector, with over 75 years of expertise, and the only group supporting local youth charities, youth clubs, and youth programmes to continue to deliver services. The work Oxfordshire Youth really changes lives ensuring that whatever a young person’s starting point in life may be, nothing holds them back!
Making a donation to Oxfordshire Youth is a powerful act during this time of great need, and sends out a message of hope and compassion.
