OXSRAD is a unique community where everyone is welcome. For three decades, OXSRAD has been a lifeline for individuals with disabilities in Oxfordshire and beyond. As a life-enhancing health, fitness, and recreation centre, OXSRAD provides the tools and support individuals need to thrive physically and emotionally.

OXSRAD is more than just a sports centre; it is a vibrant community where people of all abilities come together, support one another, and experience the transformative power of sports, fitness and social activities. From an accessible gym equipped for wheelchair users to a sensory room, rebound trampoline therapy, and a wide range of classes and groups, OXSRAD offers unique resources that are unparalleled in the region.

One of our members poignantly shared, "If I didn’t have OXSRAD, I would never move my legs, it’s as simple as that." This captures the profound impact OXSRAD has on the lives of those we serve. For many, OXSRAD is not just a place to exercise; it is a place where they find community, support, and hope.

Despite our growth and the increasing demand for our inclusive and adaptive activities, OXSRAD faces significant challenges. The pandemic and the ongoing cost of living crisis have deeply affected our operations. As an independent charity, we receive no council or government funding and rely entirely on donations to continue our vital work.

Without increased and urgent funding, this unique community asset is at risk of closure. The thought of losing such a vital resource is heartbreaking, not just for those who depend on our services but for the entire community that benefits from the inclusivity and support OXSRAD fosters.

In response to this urgent need, the OXSRAD community is stepping up to secure our future. We are holding a charity football match, August 19th! Your support will ensure that OXSRAD can continue to provide life-enhancing programs and services for individuals with disabilities. Every donation, big or small, brings us one step closer to securing our future and continuing our mission.

The money raised from this match will both increase the number of community opportunities and increase the number of inclusive activities for those with disabilities. The goal is to enhance individuals physical health and mental wellbeing and bring people together to build strong relationships in and across communities (those with and without disabilities). This money will enable us to continue our work, benefitting and supporting hundreds each month.
