The endless crisis in Palestine has had devastating effects on millions, countless lives have been lost, livelihoods destroyed & entire communities uprooted.
Now more than ever, millions of people, families, orphans, widows & children across Palestine are in desperate need of your support.
They are facing extreme poverty without the resources required to fulfil their basic needs such as food, water, medical care and an education for their children.
At present, approximately 37 million people in Palestine are in need of lifesaving aid...
Over 1.9 million people across Palestine, & 60% of all Palestinians in Gaza alone, are facing major food insecurity.
They do not know where their next meal will come from & have very little means to ensure their survival as they face starvation.
In addition to food insecurity over 500,000 across Palestine are struggling to access safe water. Gaza in particular is extensively affected as it faces major water shortages, with less than 4% of drinkable water being fresh.
As a result, countless Palestinians are exposed to illness & lack access to basic sanitation which poses a serious threat to their lives.
Medical facilities in the region are also straining under pressure as they face a 47% shortage of all medications. As a result, they are unable to provide basic care & medications to patients in urgent need.
For those who are the most vulnerable in society gaining access to healthcare can be a real struggle if not impossible.
The situation is extremely difficult for children in particular. It is estimated that as many as half of all Palestinian children are in desperate need of humanitarian aid.
With limited access to food, water, medical care & an education, their wellbeing & future prospects are at grave risk as they remain trapped in an endless cycle of poverty.
For those most vulnerable & already in need of emergency humanitarian assistance across Palestine. The lasting impact of the covid-19 pandemic has plunged them deeper in to poverty.
They have been pushed to new extremes as a result of the worsening of existing issues such as poverty, food insecurity, lack of healthcare & clean water.
The huge economic loss has further contributed to affecting the livelihoods of millions.
There now remains an urgent need of humanitarian aid & emergency assistance.
Winter season in Palestine & Gaza is extremely difficult, which has a devastating impact on vulnerable families.
The long & chilly winter months bring additional threats to the survival of Palestinians. In particular to those who lack access to adequate shelter, warmth & nutrition.
This includes elderly people living on their own, children in refugee camps, & those who rely on food aid to survive.
Without adequate protection the cold can be fatal as well as give rise to a number of health conditions, such as hypothermia & respiratory infections.
Staying warm can be a real challenge for families living in poverty as access to fuel & electricity is limited or even non-existent.
In some cases, they will resort to burning whatever materials they can find in order to stay warm leading to hazardous levels of smoke inhalation.
They lack the resources needed to keep warm & healthy during the winter season.
