Team Paws2Rescue London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026

Campaign by Paws2Rescue

The LLHM is a 100% not-for-profit half marathon, a closed road, Central London event. It is Team Paws2Rescue's third such event, and we have a small group of fantastic supporters who are taking part to fundraise for our animal welfare charity.

We rescue dogs every day, who have been abused or abandoned, mainly in Romania, but also the UK and globally. We provide food, shelter and vet treatment for these dogs. Our neuter and education programmes focusing on changing the future generations and reducing stray populations across the world.

Story

We are so excited to announce that our fantastic supporters of Paws2Rescue will be completing the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 12th April 2026. That’s 13.1 miles to help us raise funds for vital food, shelter, treatment and emergency medical care as well as preventative solutions such as our neutering campaigns and veterinary scholarships to ensure that there are social care vets and educating communities on animal welfare.

Our running team in 2026 are: Gillian (the world's most famous running Christmas tree), Deanna, Lucy, Agnieszka, Cev, Nicola and Rose.

Gillian said: "I am running the LLHM for Paws as I think the work you all tirelessly do in rescuing neutering and re homing those poor dogs is absolutely heroic. You also bought our gorgeous little lad Eddie into our lives last December and we all absolutely adore him and just couldn’t imagine life without him. So I run dressed as a Christmas tree complete with lights, tinsel, baubles and a star on top all thanks to my daughters suggestion as they had missed me at some many events so it was her idea that I wore my costume to stand out and boy was she right!!! I was completely overwhelmed with the response from everyone young and old so I figured that I’ll never be the fastest so why not make everyone smile instead as the world could certainly do with a bit more to smile about. So I am absolutely honoured to be running this fantastic event for such an amazing charity and literally thinking that the more money I can raise equates to the more dogs that will be saved. So I’ll be running for our Eddie and all the other ‘Eddies’ out there just waiting for you guys to save them.

Deanna says “"I was looking to run for llhm and paws2rescue came up I instantly knew this was the charity to choose. Ever since being as young as I can remember I've had dogs in my life and sadly had to let them go. Dogs give us unconditional love and their life relies on us this is my turn to give something back. Even if I help just 1 dog I have succeeded in what I aim to do”

Lucy says "Hey, I'm lucy. I work as a Community Health Care Assistant at St Elizabeth Hospice and have done for 3 years. I’m a proud dog mum to two rescues — a 5-year-old from Romania and a 7-month-old UK rescue. Running and travelling are my passions; I love exploring new countries and pushing myself with new running challenges."
