I am running the London Landmarks Half Marathon dressed as a Christmas Tree🎄complete with lights, tinsel and a star for a charity very close to my heart 🐶 PawsRescue 🐶

This charity and all the the fantastic people that volunteer within it work tirelessly to rescue, neuter and re-home so many hundreds of abandoned and abused animals mainly in Romania but also in the UK

They are also responsible for bringing our amazing rescue boy Eddie into our lives who they found abandoned and starving in very poor health and it has been such a joy watching him transform from a nervous, unsure, timed little dog who was too scared to go up a flight of stairs to the very happy chappy he is now who loves his home and doesn't mind dressing up either 🎄🐶

The reason I wear a Christmas Tree costume is completely down to my daughter (who is my inspiration every day and encourages me to keep going even when things get tough)

There have been so many times when I have been running (very slowly as I am definitely no Paula Radcliffe!) and my family have completely missed me as I went passed and so my daughter suggested I wear my 🎄Christmas Tree🎄costume so l would be seen !!!

The reactions from the crowd shocked me as I never imagined I could make that many people smile especially but not just children. So I thought that I would carry on running in my Christmas tree costume as the world definitely needs more to smile about 🩷🎄
