Light Project Peterborough and the Posh Foundation are having their second Big Sleep Out event after the fantastic success of the first one. On 8th March 2024, 68 people took part in sleeping out in the concourse at Peterborough United Football Stadium. Including GiftAid, over £32,000 was raised!
It was wonderful to see the community coming together whether that's by participating or donating and we're hoping even more will do so this time round.

This year, we are delighted to have Compare the Market sponsoring the event! Their support will make a huge difference in the awareness of the sleep out as well as hopefully help us to reach our fundraising target.
Between October 1st 2023 and 30th September 2024, 979 people came to LPP's Garden House, which is Peterborough's homeless hub. 546 of these were supported to move off the streets and into accommodation. In July 2024, LPP saw a record number of people coming through its doors with 309 individuals seeking support. Another record was set a month later when 57 people presented as homeless to us for the first time. Fundraising events like the Big Sleep Out helps those experiencing homelessness to receive the right support, care and love to get to a better place.
