Story
When Alimatu Iddirisu was a child, she had to drop out of school. Her family didn't have enough money. Sadly, without an education, her only option was to turn to farming.
Without access to modern agriculture practices, she couldnt grow enough from her remote, small maize and ground nut farm to make a living. She was trapped in poverty. That disappointment has haunted Alimatu ever since. "I don't want my children to go through what I have suffered by not being educated," she says.
Alimatu is exactly the kind of young woman we should help-hardworking, enterprising, selfless. No wonder we call people like Alimatu "waymakers."
And thats why we're asking you in this season of generosity... to be a waymaker, too.
