Story

Shree Kashtabhanjan Dev Hanumanji Temple UK - Salangpur Dham Leicester has been established since 2007 & gained charitable status in 2016 with the purpose of providing a dedicated shrine to Lord Hanumanji in Leicester. In March of 2020 the above property became available to us, and the purchase was completed & Darshan commenced in January 2021. The Kashtabhanjan Dev Hanumanji Temple will be a 'first of its kind' outside India and once completed, the finished structure will have an iconic authentic look and feel which will deliver we hope an unforgettable experience to everyone visiting the temple.

The building is located in the corner of Rushey Mead playing fields which has hosted in the past large-scale recitals of the Ramayana last in 2006 by Morari Bapu and in 2016 the other major scripture Shrimad Bhagavat Katha by Rameshbhai Oza. Both Morari Bapu and Rameshbhai Oza are followed by millions of their devotees and are respected spiritual leaders. In light of these events taking place on this site, the spot is well known in the community and many devotees have commented that Lord Hanuman has chosen this spot for himself due to these events taking place here.

We have had great reaction to the use of an ex-police station as a temple. We have had comments such as Now Lord Hanuman will be the new policeman in the area & protect the community as a whole in the same way he helped good win over evil in the Ramayana. The building is set in the open air and has the Rushey Fields in the background and along with on-site parking, the idea of a new temple in the 'ex-police station' has been well received from devotees and community leaders.

A new stonework statue of Kashtabhanjan Dev is currently being made in Rajasthan in India and this will be installed in as the main idol of the temple.

For the development of the buildings, we are actively raising funds to help us reach our goal and we would be grateful for all donations large or small. Individuals can contribute or sponsor 1square feet of the land known as 'Bhumidaan' @ £251per square foot, 2 square feet @ £501, 3 square feet @ £751.00 and so on. If you wish to contribute towards any of the temple features such as Hanumanji's statue, Temple Hall, Kitchen Facilities or you wish to provide an interest free loan the please contact us. If you would like to help or get involved, then please call Rajesh Patel on 07977203616 or visit our web site.

'Kashtabhanjan Dev' translates to the 'The Destroyer of Agony' so please help us with our New Temple Appeal.

May Lord Hanumanji for fill all your hopes & aspirations & protect you in your daily lives. Thank you.
