The Great North Run all began back in 1981 and since then over 1.2 million people have taken part - making it the worlds largest half marathon.

From iconic landmarks to coastal vistas, completing the famous Great North Run is really something to celebrate. This exhilarating run starts in Newcastle upon Tyne and passes some amazing sights including the iconic Tyne Bridge and the South Shields coast.

The RAF Association's Connections for Life service for our vulnerable veterans and Mental well-being courses are just two areas where the RAF Association help the oldest to youngest of the community.
