Refuge opened the world’s first refuge in West London in 1971. We support thousands of women & children every day, experiencing domestic and sexual violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, stalking, trafficking, prostitution & so-called ‘honour’ based violence.

Story

Welcome to the 2021 Royal Parks Half Marathon in aid of Refuge. Our runners will be taking on this leafy race through London's royal parks to raise vital funds and awareness for Refuge - the UK's leading provider of specialist services for survivors of domestic, sexual and gender-based abuse.

Between them, our runners are aiming to raise a whopping £14,000, so all support is greatly appreciated.

At Refuge, we believe that no-one should have to live in fear of violence and abuse. On any given day Refuge supports more than 7,000 women, children and men, helping them rebuild their lives and overcome many different forms of violence and abuse; for example domestic violence, sexual violence, so-called honour-based violence, human trafficking and modern slavery, and female genital mutilation.
