The RNLI Castle 2 Castle Swim is an iconic one-mile open water sea swim across the Carrick Roads. It starts at the headland below Pendennis Castle in Falmouth and finishes on the beach below St Mawes Castle on the Roseland Peninsula.
This event raises money to support the RNLI's volunteer lifeboat crews and lifeguards. The RNLI celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2024 and each year the demands of the lifesaving service we provide increases, so with the charity relying on the public's voluntary donations every pound raised will help to save more lives around our coast.
This popular event is limited to 600 swimmers and is open to anyone over the age of 14. Please note, participants should be intermediate or experienced open water swimmers and will be required to wear a wet suit.
Registration for the swim is £30 and we ask everyone to pledge to raise a minimum of £100 through sponsorship.
The swim is a fantastic event largely run by volunteers, without whom it wouldn't be possible. It promises to be great fun with a fantastic atmosphere, so do come along and get involved.
If swimming isn't your thing but you would still like to be involved, please get in touch as there are many volunteering opportunities available on the day.
