Story

The RNLI Castle 2 Castle Swim is an iconic one-mile open water sea swim across the Carrick Roads. It starts at the headland below Pendennis Castle in Falmouth and finishes on the beach below St Mawes Castle on the Roseland Peninsula.

Determined to raise funds and support this amazing cause I am now an official RNLI fundraising volunteer and also have this swim as a personal challenge . Having had a long journey of leg and back pain and recovery from 2 major spinal surgery events I have worked hard to regain swimming strength and all that work has paid off !

I DID IT !

Thank you for all your kindness and support . I couldn’t have done it without my family and friends support . Helping me keep going even when pain has made it hard .

The benefits to my health have been huge . Self belief has returned hugely and I am very happy to feel less pain too !

This event raises money to support the RNLI's volunteer lifeboat crews and lifeguards. The RNLI celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2024 and each year the demands of the lifesaving service we provide increases, so with the charity relying on the public's voluntary donations every pound raised will help to save more lives around our coast.

The swim is a fantastic event largely run by volunteers, without whom it wouldn't be possible. It promises to be great fun with a fantastic atmosphere, so do come along and get involved.
