Our RNLI Lifeguards provide a seasonal lifeguard service on seven beaches in South Devon.

The beaches they cover include Hope Cove, Blackpool Sands, Slapton Sands (Monument), Bantham, Sedgewell Cove (Bigbury-on-Sea), Bigbury on Sea and Challaborough.

During 2024 our Lifeguards were involved in 555 incidents, saved 2 lives and assisted a further 700 people. In addition, they also carried out 78,960 preventative actions, helping to ensure the safety of our beach users.

The money raised through this JustGiving page will help to ensure that our RNLI Lifeguards in South Devon have the best equipment and training to continue to carry out their lifesaving work on their beaches.
