Join the RNLI Mayday Dip at Boscombe Beach on Sat 9 May - brave the cold, support our lifeguards, and make a splash for a great cause!

In celebration of 25 years of RNLI Lifeguards please join us for our Mayday Dip, raising vital funds for our local lifeguards - this event will take place on Saturday 9th May.

Each participant will be encouraged to raise sponsorship from friends and family – use the link below to register as a fundraiser to get your own personal page to track your fundraising on!

Taking place on Boscombe Beach, the event will start from 10.00am, with the first participants set to take the plunge from 10.30am. Participants will enter the water in waves, the number of waves will depend on the number of participants. Each Dip will be for a maximum of 12 minutes.

Fancy dress is optional but encouraged!

Full safety measures will be in place which include lifeguards, as well as additional first aid provided by Phoenix EMS.

All participants are asked to arrive for registration which will be set up by the lifeguard hut between 10.00 and 10.30am where they will be given a wristband. This wristband must be worn at all times and scanned before and after the dip. If participants wish to dip as a group please let the registration desk know.

Children are welcome to attend the event however, no child under the age of 12 will be able to take part in the dip. All children (under 18) will need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times. No unaccompanied children (over 12, under 18) will be permitted to take part in the dip.
