From the stunning Dorset, Sussex and Kent coastlines to the unpredictable tidal Thames, our favourite places in the South east are enjoyed by millions of people from across the country every year. But the water remains an unpredictable environment that can catch people out. People will always need our help and we will always be there to answer that call.
Keeping a modern fleet of lifeboats maintained, fuelled and ever ready to go to the rescue from all 31 South East lifeboat stations is expensive and we rely entirely on voluntary donations to ensure this service is maintained. Add to that crew training and kit, and the pounds start to add up. It costs an average of £191k to run lifeboat stations in the South East but this year, with the implications of Covid-19, we haven't been able to fundraise to keep our lifeboats afloat.
We rely on donations from you the public to continue saving lives at sea - your donation to this page will help support the running of stations in the South East as follows:
Bembridge, Brighton, Calshot, Chiswick, Cowes, Dover, Dungeness, Eastbourne, Gravesend, Hastings, Hayling Island, Littlehampton, Littlestone on Sea, Lymington, Margate, Mudeford, Newhaven, Poole, Portsmouth, Ramsgate, Rye Harbour, Selsey, Sheerness, Shoreham Harbour, Southend On Sea, Swanage, Teddington, Tower, Walmer, Whitstable and Yarmouth.
