The Community Boxes were launched in April 2020 in response to the COVID lock down. The programme quickly grew to supporting over 2,000 families who had been impacted by the resulting economic dislocation in 6 cities. We currently support c. 1,000 families and have given out over 70,000 boxes to date

The need remains high given the end of the furloughing, reduction in Universal Credit, increase in food, gas and electricity prices and the continued risk of COVID transmission and cases.
