This Ramadan Novo Jibon is focusing again on the Rohingya crisis in Coxs Bazaar as the situation is not improving but develops to the worst and the need is increasing where the humanitarian aid is decreasing. Thousands of Rohingya refugees most of them are women, children and elderly are in desperate need of all kind of humanitarian aid but mainly the food to survive and avoid the malnutrition-related diseases.

Without forgetting our main operational areas in Bangladesh in the south west of the country and mainly in Satkhira where people are suffering from poverty and in most days, they are having just one meal a day with little quantity of food stuff. As a result, they suffer from mal-nutrition and other nutritional deficiency diseases. in addition to Natural calamities like tidal surge, river erosion, and flooding and fire.

Considering this situation, Novo Jibon has taken decision to undertake a project this coming Ramdan to improve the nutritional condition of the target beneficiaries through Food Parcel distribution. It is expected that this project will help to improve the nutritional status of the target beneficiaries (both the Rohingya and the poor in Bangladesh) as well as reduce the food scarcity of the beneficiaries.

1-:Feed the fasting (Suhoor and Iftar) what will be provided?

- IFTARI: £1,50/meal/ per person

One pack of Rice with chicken or mince, one bottle of water (small size) and 3

dates

- SUHOOR:

One pack of Lentil or chicken carry & water: £1,50/person

2- Fidyah what will be provided?

£4 for each missed fast. This should provide one person with two meals or two

people with one meal. However, if someone misses all the fasts of Ramadan ( for a

reasonable reason) , they will need to pay £120 for the month.

3- Kafarah what will be provided?

if you deliberately miss any fasts during the Divinely directed month of Ramadan,

you must pay Kaffarah as compensation. Pay your Kaffarah with Novo Jibon so that

your dedication to Islam might now feed sixty people (60) , instead

of abstaining from eating or drinking for a day.

Zakat Al Fitr - what will be provided? £3/ head

Fitrana is a charitable donation of food that must be given before Eid prayer.

It can be distributed as cash or food (according to the donor instructions)
