We helped build this centre and now we must protect it.

The roof at our community creative hub in remote Taiama, Sierra Leone, is collapsing. Water is coming in and damaging the music equipment we've worked so hard to get there.

We urgently need to raise just £1000 to replace the roof, protect the equipment and secure the future of this vital community space.

When we met musician Mash P in 2022, he had a dream: to create a free creative hub for young people in his home community.

Through our Get Equipped programme, alongside our long-standing partners WAYout Arts and some incredible supporters, we helped make that dream a reality.

In this remote area, where access to education, technology, creative opportunities and activities for young people is extremely limited, the centre offers something invaluable.

Somewhere to go, something meaningful to do, new skills to learn and a place to belong.

With 310 community members, the hub provides access to music production, DJ equipment, computers and creative education. It's also supported young people recovering from Kush addiction, offering positive alternatives, connection and hope for the future.

And now, after the heartbreaking recent loss of Ernest, a much-loved member of the centre, this community faces another challenge.

The equipment we've spent years fundraising for, sourcing and transporting to Sierra Leone is now at risk of further water damage, along with the creative opportunities it makes possible.

We've invested in this space, its people and its future. We can't let a collapsing roof undo that hard work.

Just £800 will enable the roof to be replaced and help protect everything this community has built.

Please donate whatever you can and help us raise the roof for Taiama.

Every pound makes a difference. ❤️

Thank you, Team LNADJ x
