In 2019, Stokesley Rotary set a target to raise £5000 for Village Water, but we exceeded this target and with the help of the 'Big Give' charity we were able to donate £25,000 to Village Water.
Stokesley Rotary is a committed charity organization focused on addressing the global water crisis. We believe that clean water is a fundamental right, and through our project and fundraising with Village Water, we aim to raise awareness and funds for sustainable water access projects.
Why safe water?
All funds raised will go to the charity Village Water ‘WASH’ project (www.villagewater.org) which is providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene facilities for schools in Mozambique and Zambia.
By ensuring access to safe water and clean toilets, Sanitation for Schools will enable these students to spend more time in the classroom and less time struggling to meet basic needs. This initiative is a step towards lasting change, offering them a healthier, safer, and brighter future through education.
