Stokesley school's community challenge - Walk for Water!

School community challenge - Walk for Water
We have teamed up with Stokesley Rotary Club to raise money for the charity Village Water (www.villagewater.org) which works to provide clean water, sanitation and hygiene facilities for schools in Mozambique and Zambia.
By ensuring access to safe water and clean toilets, Sanitation for Schools will enable these students to spend more time in the classroom and less time struggling to meet basic needs.
As a school community, we’re going to try to collectively travel the distance between our school and one of the schools in the Mumbwa district in Zambia that we’ll be helping with the money that we raise. It’s 7000 miles.
Every student in year 7-10 has pledged to complete any distance that they like, from 10 to 100 miles (some have already asked if they can do more, and that’s fine by us!) and can complete this distance in the way that works best for them, whether that be walking, running, swimming, playing football, dancing, horse riding or whatever other activities that they do. Our sixth form are also planning on doing a walk together - we'll let you know what they're doing when it's confirmed.
If you know a young person that attends Stokesley school, please, ask them what distance they've pledged, how they plan to complete this, and congratulate them on doing something good for charity. If you also feel that you can sponsor us to help us to achieve our goal, please please do so. Our students are awesome, and we want to show them what they can achieve when they all work together!
Thank you so much in advance for your support.
