Story

Roy Castle Strictly Ballroom 2019

Strictly Come Dancing is one of the BBCs longest running and most popular TV programmes. Viewers are mesmerised by the sequins and enthralled by the progress of the celebrities that take part. Strictly Ballroom is Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundations very own version of this hit programme.

Working with talented dancers and choreographers at Martin's Dance School, this year's competitors will receive 10 hours of private dance tuition from a professional ballroom/latin dancer, working to perfect their chosen dance.

This years event will take place on Saturday 2nd November 2019 at the Devonshire House Hotel, Edge Lane, Liverpool.

About Us

Firstly, we want to thank you so much for choosing to support Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation. There are a lot of charities in the UK, but we are the only UK charity wholly dedicated to defeating all forms of lung cancer. It is a responsibility we take very seriously.

Lung cancer is the UK's biggest cancer killer - in both men and women. It killed more people than breast, colo-rectal and prostate cancer combined and yet receives only 6% of research funding. This is simply not good enough and we should all expect better.

We pride ourselves on being a "voice" for patients and their families. We speak up for those whose lives are touched by lung cancer, whose lives have been taken by it, and for those who will face a lung cancer diagnosis in the future.

We campaign to raise awareness of lung cancer and its symptoms every day, all year round. We challenge the stigma surrounding lung cancer and we tackle the anxieties that can hold a person back from seeing their GP when they spot symptoms that might be signs of lung cancer.

#LikeMe

It can affect people like you. It can affect people like me.
