What is Enrichment?

Enrichment is a programme devised by Thornhill Primary School and designed to benefit both children and staff.

Throughout their journey at Thornhill, from Reception to Year 6, each child will experience Enrichment across the full range of subject areas.

On Friday afternoons normal lessons cease and the children take part in a range of classes taught by specialists, which fall broadly into five categories.

For the children, Enrichment offers real life, contextual opportunities to apply their learning. The chance to make discoveries, try new experiences and develop valuable life skills.

For teaching staff, it offers precious time, allowing them to develop their own skills and talents.

Five years of investment by our extended Thornhill community has had an incredible impact on Thornhill Primary School and enriched the education of every child at the school.
