St Andrew's Community Network is based in Clubmoor, North Liverpool and exists to to resource organisations to 'design-out' poverty in their own communities. It is our ultimate aim to see people set free from the life-affecting consequences of poverty and work to three main aims to achieve this:
- Building Financial Resilience through debt and income maximisation advice, supporting people to move away from insecurity and towards stability
- Building Food Security as coordinators of 11 foodbanks and eight community food pantries across the city, providing both emergency and long-term support to those in food crisis and insecurity
- Building Sustainable Communities through capacity building support that drives long-lasting change
We believe that it is people within a community who understand best what that community needs to grow and thrive, and work closely with other organisations across the city to effect locally-rooted change within disadvantaged and deprived communities.
The team and supporters from St Andrew's Community Network are taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge this summer to raise vital funds for those facing poverty throughout Liverpool.
On 30th August 2024, we will trek 24 miles and climb over 5000ft across the Pen-y-Ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside peaks in the Yorkshire Dales.
