Story
The School Feeding Program provides a daily hot meal to 2,500 children in Chokwé, Mozambique—often the only meal they receive all day.
Over the last school year, more than 310,000 meals were served, directly improving school attendance, academic performance, and the physical and cognitive development of these children .
Because of funding constraints, Um Pequeno Gesto was forced to reduce the program from 5 days to just 4 days per week—leaving one full day without this essential meal.
With the recent floods and devastation to family homes and farms, the situation has become even more urgent. Many families have lost their livelihoods, and food insecurity has significantly worsened.
For these children, that one day without a meal can now mean an entire day of hunger.
With your support, we can restore school meals EVERY day of the week. Your help will matter - for them and for me.
50 € per year feeds one more child a yesr.
Feeding is education. Education is opportunity.
