Story
We are participating in a sponsored Women and Sculpture Walk in the borough of Camden to help raise funds for Women + Health to keep this essential service and sanctuary for hundreds of women and their families at the heart of our community. Please give to this page to sponsor us.
Through the sponsored Women and Sculpture Walk, we are showing our support for the centre and those who rely on its key services. Women + Health urgently needs your support, and demand for its services has never been greater.
The charity has been a safe, inclusive space for vulnerable, disadvantaged and underrepresented women and their families since 1986. Pioneers of integrated healthcare, their unique, person-centred, holistic approach nurtures physical, mental and social well being. Services include short and long term counselling, CAMs (complementary and alternative medicine) such as acupuncture, osteopathy and reflexology, yoga, therapeutic gardening and life coaching. Many service users have complex health and social needs and include survivors of domestic and sexual violence, those suffering with multiple chronic physical pain conditions, burnout syndrome, PTSD, anxiety and depression.

When I do heavy tasks, I have to take a breather sometimes.
But you know what, using my body in the gentle stretching yoga - 'Wake-up Wednesday' sessions, is absolute bliss. It's a positive feeling, rather than one where the aches can be haunted with ghosts of times less well. And the other participants are women, and some also with hidden health conditions. There is a unity and support where illness is not the focus, but wellness is.... "
