Sightsavers' vision is of a world where no one is blind from avoidable causes and where visually impaired people participate equally in society.

Story

People dont go blind by the millions, they go blind one by one

This quote is from one of our founders in 1950, and it still rings true today. Everything Sightsavers does is aiming towards a world where avoidable blindness has been eliminated, and people with disabilities have the same opportunities as everyone else.

We have an ambitious target for our runners, £1,800 each! Please help them by donating today.

The London Marathon is one of our biggest annual fundraising events and helps support our vital work. By supporting any of our runners you will be helping us work towards eliminating avoidable blindness and promote the rights of people with disabilities worldwide.

When you look into the eyes of a child who is losing their sight, you see so much sadness and pain. All the things around them slowly disappear. Theyre forced to find their way in a world they cannot see. So many of them get lost.
