Spay and Neuter Campaign 2020

Organised by DogsnHomes Rescue

Everyday our volunteers find unwanted puppies which are being born on the streets because stray dogs or people's pets are not being neutered. This year our aim is to raise £3000 before 2021 to help neuter and spay 75 dogs.

Our mission is simple. To rescue abandoned dogs from Portugal and the UK and find them first-class forever homes. We take the time to listen to adopters' preferences and match the right people with the right dog. Every penny raised goes towards the rescue and care of the dogs.

Story

Everyday our volunteers find unwanted puppies which are being born on the streets, with or without their mothers or they find heavily pregnant bitches about to give birth. All this because stray dogs or people's pets are not being neutered.

If a pair of dogs and their offspring where to breed and none were neutered, one pair could create a family tree of over 66,000 dogs over a 6 year period! So it shouldn't be underestimated the impact of spaying and neutering just one dog.

But our aim is to raise £3000 before 2021 to help neuter around 75 dogs. The cost of neutering a dog and spaying a bitch varies on their size, but on average cost around £40 each.

The money raised will be split between three different private shelters in the Algarve to tackle a problem they face on a daily basis.

If you can spare just the cost of a coffee we would be very grateful.
