Los Angeles' first animal welfare agency, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) has been serving the community since 1877. spcaLA prevents cruelty to animals through Education, Law Enforcement, Intervention, and Advocacy. spcaLA is not a chapter of any group.

Story

Every year, spcaLA provides safe shelter, veterinary care, behavioral enrichment, and plenty of TLC to thousands of abused and abandoned animals in our community.
