Story
We’re kicking off National Epilepsy Week with our silliest challenge ever, and we want you involved.
Go from barely touching your toes to attempting the Splits in six months under the careful instruction of your dedicated coach, Andrew Cameron.
We know what you’re thinking. The Splits? Really? Yes. Really. And before you click away, this challenge is designed for people exactly like you. Desk-bound by day, a little stiff, and maybe just mad enough to give something like this a go for a good cause.
Remember, it’s not meant to be easy, or people wouldn’t give you money for it!
But with regular guidance and encouragement across the months, we’ll help you reach your goal and raise funds. Choose from three different Splits to work toward: front split, pancake or middle split or go crazy and try all three!
Fundraising Details
This is a fun challenge and a brilliant chance for you to get limber and in shape, but it’s also a powerful opportunity to raise big money for a great cause.
The most effective fundraising posts won’t be the polished ones; they’ll be the ones where you tell the truth about how it’s going. The good, the bad and the hilarious! And we’ll help by prompting you with fun ideas and tips for keeping your community engaged with your journey.
Why It Matters
Epilepsy affects around one in 100 people in Scotland. Many face stigma, isolation and a lack of understanding from the world around them. Epilepsy Scotland provides information, advocacy and real support for people and families who need it. Every pound you raise goes directly towards that work.
This challenge exists because showing up for something hard, for six months, for people who didn’t get a choice about their own hard thing – that matters.
Ready to Give It A Go?
You don’t need to be flexible. You don’t need to be fit. You just need to sign up and give it a go!
Do it with friends, your family, office mates or pals from the gym, or go it alone and surprise people with your new party trick. However you do it, we’ll be there rooting for you.
