Every single day, 15 people are killed or injured because of landmines and other explosive weapons. Almost half of all civilian casualties are children. MAG finds and destroys these weapons to save lives and rebuild futures; helping people to grow crops, attend school and build homes.

Story

Over the last decade, over 130 UK Wholesale, Convenience, FMCG and Service Provider executives have cycled across Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, the UK and Bosnia-Herzegovina, and most recently Tanzania, raising over £1.5 million for MAG (Mines Advisory Group) – the Manchester based charity, awarded Co-Laureate of the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize for its role in the International Campaign to Ban Landmines.

Every day, 15 people are killed or injured by landmines and unexploded bombs. Almost half of casualties are children. MAG’s teams around the world remove these items for good from communities affected by conflict. Every landmine and weapon taken out of the ground is a life saved, an injury prevented, and a community given the chance to rebuild.

The Sri Lanka Cycle Challenge 2026 is the “last one for the road” and the 11th challenge taken on by the Bikes Against Bombs team. Between Saturday 21st March and Sunday 29th March 2026, the team of senior leaders will come together to we tackle the heat and hills of this beautiful country whilst raising vital funds for MAG, helping to make the world a safer place.

By sponsoring the team today, you are helping to save lives and build futures around the world, and put an end to the tragic impacts of war from conflicts new and old.

THANK YOU!
