Sri Lanka Cycle Challenge 2026

Deborah Robinson is raising money for MAG (Mines Advisory Group)

Sri Lanka Cycle Challenge - · 21 March 2026

Since 2015, UK executives from the Wholesale, Foodservice and Convenience sector have raised an extraordinary £1.5 million for MAG's life-saving work around the world. Please support the team as they take on their 11th cycling challenge in Sri Lanka.

Story

MAG is the Manchester-based charity awarded Co-Laureate of the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize for its role in the International Campaign to Ban Landmines. Since 2015, senior executives from the UK Wholesale, Foodservice and Convenience sector have raised more than £1.5 million to support MAG’s life-saving work in communities affected by conflict worldwide.

In March 2026, the Bikes Against Bombs team will take on its 11th cycling challenge in Sri Lanka. This “last one for the road” brings together industry leaders united by a shared commitment to making the world safer.

Every day, 15 people are killed or injured by landmines and unexploded bombs, almost half of them children. MAG’s teams work on the ground to locate and destroy these weapons permanently, allowing communities to return safely to their land, grow food, attend school and rebuild their lives. Every explosive removed is a life saved and a future protected.

From Saturday 21 March to Sunday 29 March 2026, the team will cycle through challenging heat and terrain across Sri Lanka, raising essential funds to support this vital work.

Debbie has shown exceptional commitment to MAG’s mission, taking part in every overseas Bikes Against Bombs ride since 2015. Her journey spans Vietnam, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Laos, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Thailand and Tanzania, alongside multiple UK rides - demonstrating leadership by example and long-standing dedication.

By sponsoring Debbie and the team, you are helping to save lives, restore livelihoods and create lasting change for communities impacted by conflict.

Please donate today and help bring this final challenge to a powerful close.

Thank you for your support.
