As the sole community development charity in our area we are considered a vital anchor organisation by many. Our community has neighbourhoods ranked in the top 5 and 10% (SIMD) and we support the most vulnerable community members; care experienced families, those who are repeatedly benefit sanctioned, who suffer/suffered abuse, living with poor mental health, feel marginalised/excluded, those who experience poverty and related stigma.
In the past 12 months we have supported 9885 people (footfall of 20,173) in the following ways:
9738 through our WELLBEING theme (offering workshops, dignified services and support interventions that consider our basic needs and right to thrive, providing safe and accessible spaces, delivered by a compassionate and highly skilled trauma informed team)
5662 through our CONNECTIONS theme (a solid and safe foundation, a platform for change that facilitates risk taking, expression, exploration and growth. Our strong ties are in the social connections we make and in being part of something bigger, a shared ‘we’re in this togetherness)
4773 through our CREATIVITY theme (opportunities for all ages and abilities that widen access to creative/cultural/playful experiences, improving capacity through exploration, learning and expression of self and community)
5783 accessed us for help with food and essentials
