Story
StepStone has been working in partnership with international NGO, UWS, since 2022 with the goal to provide a transformative education programme to support over a thousand out of school children to access quality education.
This partnership is rooted in a shared belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, no matter where they are born.
Working hand in hand, StepStone employees across the globe are supporting UWS to deliver inclusive, high-quality education to children who are currently marginalized or excluded from state-provided education systems.
Through the StepStone School Initiative, StepStone and UWS have already established formal education programmes with Aglung community (central Nepal), with Ambalamoa community (southwest Madagascar), and with Chuuy community (Northern Cambodia), helping children take their first steps into school and learning.
In 2026, StepStone is returning to Nepal.
We're fundraising to support a new school in the remote hilly community of Thulagaun. The community currently only has crumbling basic facilities which are so unsafe, many parents choose to keep their children at home or send them on long journeys to distant schools, only to find similar conditions there.
But this year, that changes.
We're supporting a new school building in Thulogaun consisting of 11 classrooms, along with the installation of a well. The school will provide education from kindergarten to Grade 8, creating a safe, stable learning environment for generations to come.
A more educated world is a more empowered world.
That’s why StepStone Group has committed to a multi-year partnership with UWS, with sustainability, community ownership, and long-term impact at its core.
By supporting this campaign, you are helping children not just access education, but build futures full of possibility.
