Visit the charity's profileSt Patrick's Church in Bradford was completely refurbished and is now open to the public subject to Covid-19 legislation. Its annual costs are around £25,000, mainly for electricity and heating, plus candles and other requisites for the church.
Every year, as part of our fundraising, we at St Patricks Mission organise the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge. This year, the walk will be on 22 August and our target for 2020 is £10k.
In response to the need for caution and to respect any local concerns, we have organised only a short challenge this year: to climb Whernside only (approximately a distance of 8.4 miles scaling a height of 2415 feet). By arriving at Ribblehead Viaduct and setting off up the mountain to the trig point, then back down to the Ribblehead Viaduct without the usual refreshment breaks at the pub or café, we can keep our walkers and the locals at a safe distance.
