Move for Education
Children’s education is being interrupted. Your movement can help ensure it continues.
Between now and 24 January, International Day of Education, Street Child’s global community will take part in 24 days of movement, fundraising and meaning – with the added benefit that all donations during this time will be doubled!
Run, walk or cycle whenever it suits you - every kilometre you log helps us reach our collective goal of 4,850km - the symbolic distance from Street Child’s London office to where our work began in Sierra Leone back in 2008. You do not have to take part every day and it’s completely free to join. Most importantly, you have the option to fundraise and take advantage of our match-funding appeal. In other words, you can effectively double your impact.
Sharing your activities online helps build momentum and inspires others, helping us to raise the vital funds we need to ensure that children are kept safe, in school and learning.
The challenge is simple: move in any way you like, on any day you can, and log & share your distance on our JustGiving page via Strava and socials to raise vital funds.
Think about it: if you raise £100, this becomes £200, helping twice as many children gain access to education.
Every step you take shines a light on Street Child’s work - reaching children in the world’s toughest places.
By raising:
- £80 - you can earn a Labrum x Street Child running vest produced by Adidas and we can cover the costs of warm clothing and basic supplies for a family in Ukraine who have fled the ongoing conflict.
- £250 - you can earn the Labrum x Street Child running vest produced by Adidas and we can provide a family with a business grant that enables them to afford to send two children back to school.
- £500 - MYSTERY PRIZE
Your miles matter. Your voice matters. Your fundraising matters.
Together, we move for education.
Join the challenge. Move for education. Change lives with Street Child.
