Story
Move for Education
In June of 2022 I travelled to Sierra Leone West Africa with a team of amazing women to run the worlds Craziest Marathon to raise money for Streetchild...it was the most profound experience of my life.
The work they do to support education and families in some of the world's most challenging environments is mind blowing, and a reminder of how lucky we are to have access to education.
In the lead up to January 24th , International Day of Education, Street Child’s global community will take part in 24 days of movement, fundraising and meaning – with the added benefit of all donations during this time doubled!
I am running a mile a day for 24 days (it will be more some days for sure) and am aiming to raise £500...I would love for you to take part too, set up a fundraising page or simply donate to mine...
£1 per day = £24
£3 per day = £72
£5 per day = 120
You can run, walk or cycle whenever it suits you every km you log helps us reach our collective goal of 4,850km - the symbolic distance from Street Child’s London office to their beginnings in Sierra Leone - you do not have to take part every day. It’s completely free to join, open to everyone.
The challenge is simple:
Move in any way you like, on any day you can, and log your distance on our JustGiving page via Strava and share our this page to raise vital funds.
Street Child works across 22+ countries to ensure children are safe, in school, and learning. Your steps will help us reach the hardest-to-reach children and communities.
Every step matters. Every kilometre changes a life. Join us today!
