Midhurst Palliative Care funds the independent Midhurst Macmillan Service which provides specialist, consultant-led palliative care at home to patients and families affected by any life-limiting illness. We are based in Midhurst and cover parts of West Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire.

Story

John and Michael Leighton will be taking on a 12-hour non-stop padel match in loving memory of our sister-in-law, Victoria Leighton, who sadly lost her battle with cancer in December last year.

The Midhurst Macmillan Service's team of doctors and nurses provided incredible support to Victoria and the Leighton and Platt family throughout her treatment journey and this challenge is our way of saying thank you and giving back so they can continue their vital work with other families across Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex.

Despite the name the Midhurst Macmillan Service no longer receives funding from Macmillan Cancer Support and is now part-funded by their own charity, Midhurst Palliative Care. Andrew, the boys and friends have already raised over £6,000 doing a sponsored bike ride this summer. You've all been so generous we're upping the target to £18,000 which will help secure a new member of staff for the team there.

Come down and enjoy a full day of padel, good vibes, and great company - all welcome at The Hook Club, Mottram Hall on Friday 19 June.
