☀️ Small charity. BIG impact. ☀️

The Sunshine Fund is one of the longest standing charities in the North East, committed to improving the day-to-day lives of children living with disabilities, additional needs and terminal illness in the region.

The charity funds specialist equipment that isn't available through the NHS, yet can open the door to new opportunities, improve wellbeing, allow families to create special memories, and encourage kids to reach their full potential.

This can be anything from an iPad to an all-terrain wheelchair, a sensory bundle to a mobile hoist, a car seat to a climbing frame or a trike to an adapted seat, and everything in between.

Over 130 people will be racing for Team Sunshine in the 2026 Great North Run, an iconic event in the North East. All donations made will stay in the region, making a direct difference on the lives of local families.
