Story

Sofia was born really early at 24 weeks with her identical twin sister Sienna who sadly passed away after 7 hours of being born. Sofia was critically ill and required maximum support for everything. She also had ecoli sepsis which we believe caused the damage to her brain. As a result Sofia has cerebral palsy.

Sofia is an incredible little girl and has worked tirelessly over the last 8 years on her mobility. In December 2022 she had SDR surgery. 2 years after surgery we dedicated all our time to her rehabilitation and Sofia as a result has surpassed everyone’s expectations. But everything comes at a cost. Sofia needs regular orthotics to relieve pressure sores and rubbed skin. These orthotics are crazy expensive but have made a huge difference to her gait and mobility.

As Sofia gets older and goes through major growth spurts we need to ensure we keep her as strong and as mobile as possible. Puberty especially is known to cause a decline in mobility and function especially in girls. Any donations are truly appreciated. Every little truly helps to keep our girl’s independence.
