Sybil applied for a PIP renewal for herself. She was previously on standard rate for Daily Living and nothing for Mobility. After the renewal, her award remained the same. Sybil asked Freedom to support her with a mandatory reconsideration, but no further points were awarded, and the case went to appeal. Freedom supported her through this process. After the appeal was heard Sybil was awarded enhanced PIP for both Daily Living and for Mobility. She received back pay of £3,119 and ongoing weekly payments of £152.15. Her award means she is entitled to a mobility car giving her much more freedom.
