Merton Mencap is a local, independent charity supporting children and adults with a learning disability/autism to take part in stimulating and engaging activities, learn skills for independence, and develop friendships so they feel valued, confident, and part of their local community.

Our projects and activities for people with learning disabilities/autism include our playschemes for younger children, social clubs and skills development activities for young people, vocational training at our Community Cafe for adults, and holidays away.

We support parents and carers through our forums, peer-to-peer counselling and outings. Our aim is to help parents and carers cope, feel less isolated and have a life outside caring.
