Story
The ongoing civil war in Syria has resulted in widespread devastation and displacement, leaving many Syrians struggling to access necessities like food. Millions of people are in need of humanitarian assistance, and the situation is especially dire for those living in hard-to-reach areas.
This Ramadan with the help of our implementing partners Action for Humanity we are fundraising for:
1. Food packs to feed a family of 6 in Syria. Each food pack will cost £50 and will contain sugar, rice, bulgur, oil, lentils, tea, spaghetti, vermicelli and tuna.
2. Cash in hand to support the most vulnerable and needy individuals and families in the country. The project aims to distribute Zakat funds to those who are eligible to receive it according to Islamic principles, with a focus on those who have been affected by the ongoing conflict. The project will target internally displaced persons (IDPs), and low-income families who are struggling to meet their basic needs. We will provide each family with £100 in cash.
If you would like to support Syrian families please donate today. Please specify if you have a preference for food packs or cash. If no preference is stated we will split the funds equally over both projects.
