I’m 27 years old and live with my wife and my 2 year old daughter. I was diagnosed with MELAS (a type of Mitochondrial disease) at the age of 16 although showed signs from a very young age

I suffer every single day with muscle pain, type 1 diabetes, moderate hearing loss, muscle spasms swallowing issues and fatigue.

In 2018 I had a stroke like episode leaving me with no feeling below the knee on my right side.

I lost my Mum and my Aunt from the same disease.

The Lily Foundation have become a vital part of my life and I can’t thank them enough for all they have done for me and my family. They have allowed us to meet loads of wonderful people suffer from Mito and the networking you get is a life saver. The fund research to move us closer to a cure. We need a cure!
