Story
INTRODUCTION
We are Team GS, part of Britain's Freestyle Moguls Squad within Team GB Snowsports. Made up of twin siblings Thomas and Leonie and younger sister Makayla, we have dedicated our entire lives to our sport and at the age of 23 and 24 years old, our athletic careers should be far from over. We are here, asking for your help so that we can continue to break barriers and lay the foundations for British success within Mogul skiing for many years to come.
THE CHALLENGE
We are currently facing one of the toughest challenges of our careers to date. Despite record-breaking results, with the first ever GB Moguls World Cup podium by Thomas in Krasnoyarsk in 2020 and a historic 8th place finish by Makayla at the 2022 Beijing Olympic Games, some of our funds have been reduced, meaning our entire seasons training will be unsupported, jeopardising our skiing careers.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Whilst this may seem a late announcement, unfortunately we have only just received this news ourselves so we could not anticipate or plan any funding sooner. Attempting to remain focused on our health, training and performance with so much uncertainty has been and is extremely difficult.
We need YOUR help to save our skiing careers. We have set our target at £30,000.
We hope that with your help, we are able to keep our careers and dreams alive whilst simultaneously raising more awareness of our sport and setting a new precedent for future generations of British Snowsports athletes.
Please donate whatever you can. Every little helps, there is tremendous power in numbers, it all really does add up and make a difference. If you arent in a position to donate anything at all please support us by sharing, telling our story and spreading awareness.
Please do not hesitate to contact any of us if you think you can help in any way or want to know more.
This really does mean everything to us.
Thank you so much,
Thomas, Leonie and Makayla Gerken Schofield
