Royal Bank of Canada supports childrens causes across the world through RBC Race for the Kids, a global series of 17 charitable runs.

In the UK, RBC Race for the Kids supports seriously ill children at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Our business and employees support GOSH throughout the year and so far we have raised over £2.5 million for the hospital. We are now in the 10th year of support for GOSH and the 10th year of our involvement in RBC Race for the Kids. In 2018, we signed up over 2,000 members of Team RBC to take part and we are looking to do even better this year.

The money raised through our fundraising activities will fund the transformation of a parent accommodation facility at GOSH into a 'home away from home' for families whose children are being treated at the hospital in intensive care and for long periods of time. This parent accommodation facility will become Royal Bank of Canada House and will open in 2020. This will provide vital accommodation for parents during one of the most stressful time in their lives.
