Summary

Ongoing Israeli attacks from air, land and sea are killing, injuring, and displacing children, journalists, and medical workers across Palestine. The Big Ride for Palestine is partnering with the Middle East Children's Alliance to provide emergency aid to children and families and support community projects for children in Palestine right now. Ride against genocide and occupation and raise funds to provide life-saving aid!

Challenge

Half the Palestinian population are children. Hundreds of thousands of children have been displaced and don't have access to adequate food, water, or shelter. They have been traumatized by ongoing Israeli bombings, raids, and violence on their communities.

Solution

MECA works for the rights and well-being of children. We have been working in Palestine for 38 years. With the support of The Big Ride for Palestine, MECA and our local partners will provide food parcels, hot meals, clean drinking water, and other essential aid to families impacted by Israel's attacks across Palestine. And we will provide psychosocial support for traumatized children whenever it is possible including sports, cycling and other physical activities.

Long-Term Impact

Right now our focus is on meeting the immediate needs of Palestinian children and families. In the long term, this project will reduce the children's risk of disease and malnutrition by addressing basic needs for food, medical care and adequate shelter that could impact their development and long-term health. It will also help children's mental health by offering outlets for physical activities and other psychological support.
