Story

The Healthcare Collection supports My Name'5 Doddie

Welcome to the official Healthcare Collection JustGiving page. We'd love you to help us raise as much as possible for this great cause.

We're thrilled to have named the My Name5 Doddie Foundation our 2023 charity partner!

This amazing organisation supports Motor Neuron Disease (MND) sufferers and provides funds for MND research. It was set up by one of Rugby Unions most recognisable personalities, Scotland's Doddie Weir OBE, after he was diagnosed with the disease in 2016.

The charity raises awareness of this incurable and life-shortening condition which progresses rapidly, affecting the motor neurons of the nervous system so that messages sent from the brain to the muscles no longer work.

As a business based in Scotland, we were surprised and saddened to learn that the number of people in the country who are being diagnosed with MND is increasing. The incidence of MND is higher in Scotland than in other European countries, too. We want to do our bit to help change this.

We're hoping to raise £10,000 over 12 months for My Name5 Doddie, so every penny really does count. Join us in our activity, or simply donate a little or a lot wed be so grateful for your support!
