Story
We work closely with the nursing and multidisciplinary teams to provide specialist support and resources to seriously ill children and their families. We also collaborate with the NHS to plan and deliver research projects for children with complex cardiac and respiratory conditions.
Our team works directly with patients, carers and extended family from the point of diagnosis. This enables us to be there from the very start of a child’s journey (many during pregnancy), ensuring they receive the best possible support whilst in hospital and in the community. We extend our services beyond childhood - working with specialists in adult departments to support young people who have transitioned from paediatric care.
Alongside our wellbeing services we also fund vital medical equipment including 'life-saving' portable defibrillators for children with acute heart conditions who are at risk of sudden cardiac arrest.
We do not receive any statutory funding and relies on the kindness and generosity of our fundraisers, donors, and corporate partners. Please support our work by fundraising for us or by making a donation.
